we have organized our school into academies, each serving a distinct portion of
our students.These academies have
been named after different universities in the New York metropolitan area, as
our goal is to provide our students with the skills necessary for college and a
successful future.The academies
vColumbia House:the Honors Academy at Wade serves our 7th
and 8th grade high-performing students. Rigor and high expectations push our students to new heights
as they take such courses as Algebra I, in which students take the High School
Regents Test at the end of their 8th grade year.
vFordham House:the 8th Grade Academy named
after Fordham University focuses on rigorous courses aligned with the new
Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS), providing students with skills needed to
be successful in high school and beyond, while also focusing on the high school
vPace House:the 7th Grade Academy named
after Pace University that focuses on rigorous courses aligned with the new
Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS), providing students with the skills
necessary to be successful and life-long learners.
vNYU House:the 6th Grade Academy named
after New York University that focuses on rigorous courses aligned with the new
Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS).This academy also houses the 6th-8th grade
bilingual students, preparing our students for a successful future in the
languages of both English and Spanish.
